IS THE COST OF MY BRACE COVERED BY MY INSURANCE PLAN?
We offer a step-wise program for reintegration into school, work and sports through a process involving a gradual reintroduction of mental, physical and sport specific activities while carefully assessing symptoms, performance and recovery.
DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM MY DOCTOR?
You do not need a referral in order to be assessed and fitted for braces. Your insurance company, however, may require a referral from a medical doctor in order for you to be reimbursed. Your family doctor can provide you with a referral, or you can book an appointment with one of our physicians (these appointments are covered by OHIP).
If you are unsure whether you would benefit from a brace, you can book an appointment with our sports medicine physician for an assessment (which is also covered by OHIP).
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO MAKE MY BRACE?
Fitting for braces is done onsite and can be done on the same day as your initial assessment if desired. Once fitted and ordered, the brace will be ready in 1-7 days (depending on the brace you require). For those without a confirmed diagnosis, tests such as x-ray or MRI may have to be ordered prior to fitting to determine the optimal custom brace prescription.
