Tricia Jacques, BSc. Kin., MSc. PT
• Registered Physiotherapist
Tricia was drawn to Physiotherapy by her enthusiasm for meeting people and her fascination with the human body. She works together with her clients to develop personalized treatment programs that work towards meeting your specific goals. She prides herself on getting to the biomechanical root of your aches and pains so that treatment addresses not only healing from injury, but also prevention. She has extensive experience working with clients following orthopaedic surgery (knees, hips, elbows and shoulders) but also enjoys treating repetitive strain injuries, neck and back pain.
Since completing her University education, Tricia has pursued post-graduate courses in acupuncture, therapeutic taping and manual therapy. She has also stayed involved with the U of Toronto as a teaching assistant, tutor, admissions committee member and clinical instructor for students on clinical placements.
When Tricia isn't working she enjoys being outdoors in a tent, canoe or on a hiking trail. She retired from competing in heptathlons years ago, but she stays active by playing ball hockey and ultimate frisbee. She also loves to travel and returns home to Calgary whenever she can to see her family.
