Monica is a Registered Massage Therapist from the Sutherland Chan School of Massage Therapy. She recently completed the 5-year program of study at the Canadian College of Osteopathy and is working toward earning her Diploma of Osteopathy. She combines the practices and philosophies of osteopathy and massage to find and treat the cause of your pain to provide her patients with long-term solutions to their problem. Marcel brings 25 years of sport medicine experience to PhysioPlus Health Group. He combines his knowledge as a Registered Massage Therapist (with national certification in sport massage) together with his training as a Certified Athletic Therapist to provide patients with a highly effective treatment approach.
Marcel has been selected for Canada's Medical teams at many international sporting events including the 1988 Calgary Olympics, the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics, Commonwealth Games and Pan Am Games. He has worked with Canada's national Speed Skating, Basketball, Track and Field and Beach Volleyball teams. While he continues to work with Canada's elite athletes Marcel believes that, "you don't have to be a world class athlete to receive world class treatment!". He has helped a wide range of patients including athletes, weekend fitness buffs, as well as people who have sustained injuries performing day to day activities.
Maria Gallo, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Maria is a Registered Massage Therapist with special training in Sports Injury Therapy. She has clinical experience working with athletes at all levels, and in particular with Judo, weightlifting and power lifting competitions. She also has experience with pre-natal massage and working with patients with ailments such as Multiple Sclerosis. Maria is expertly trained in First Aid and CPR and can assess, treat, and rehabilitate sports injuries.
Maria is uses a variety of techniques in order to tailor a program specific to her clients needs and goals. She is excited to expand on her current knowledge base through continued learning, and working closely and cooperatively with her colleagues at Physio Plus Health Group.
Mingh Lee, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture
Since registering as a Massage Therapist with the CMTO, Mingh has continued his education with his certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University.
Working with both modalities, Mingh is able to offer his clients a combined treatment of both manual therapy and acupuncture to further along his patients treatment plan.
Mingh has worked with a variety of patients and has a passion working with individuals with chronic pain due to injury or pathology, stress and posture related symptoms and sports related injuries. His approach to treatment includes building a strong team of therapists to help with recovery and reach the patients goals in a professional, caring and efficient manner. Working beside other therapist at Physio Plus Health Group, he is confident that patients are able to receive the treatment and care they deserve.
His interests include martial arts, triathlons, fly fishing, traveling, motorcycles and FOOD.
Christine Haloulos, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Christine is a registered massage therapist with a degree Kikkawa College with Honours. She integrates traditional massage with advanced muscle and connective tissue release, deep tissue massage, sports massage and taping, and trigger point therapy to help treat the root of her clients' problem. Christine also incorporates remedial exercise in her therapeutic treatments to facilitate the healing process and promote a faster recovery. She has experience treating a wide variety of muscle and joint injuries and conditions, as well as neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis & Cerebral Palsy.
Christine is dedicated to expanding her knowledge and skill level through ongoing professional development courses. This year Christine will complete her certification in Myoskeletal Alignment Technique. In her spare time, Christine loves yoga, dance and playing basketball.
