Osteopathy for Babies and Children
It is a common belief that children should have no structural stresses because they are young and their bodies are so supple. However, that isn’t always the case. Birth-induced stress, especially as the result of a difficult birth or a forceps or vacuum extraction, and falls and accidents as children grow can contribute to problems later in life. In babies and toddlers, these types of stresses can cause colic, reflux, gas, feeding difficulties, recurrent ear infections, sleep disturbances, asymmetrical movement (favoring one side), delayed crawling or walking, or alignment problems as they begin to walk. For preschoolers, they can show up as alignment or postural concerns.
Osteopathy gently aligns the bones of the skull and other tissues of the body to their optimum position. When this essential framework is in place, many problems resolve. Most children benefit from occasional treatment throughout childhood to pick up any developing problems early and minimize their long-term effects. Our osteopathy services are covered by most health insurance plans. Learn More

The Bump Method (Pre and Postpartum exercise)
The Bump Method prenatal workout is a safe and effective program designed to support women in achieving a healthy and fit pregnancy. We combine Pilates, low-impact dance, gentle stretching and deep overall muscle toning with 1-3 lb weights. You will not do any gym-like “crunches”, but rather will learn to work your abdominal wall (transversus abdominis) from the inside out. Workouts are tailored to reflect the unique needs of each trimester of pregnancy. Checkout the videos below.
This comprehensive 45 minute prenatal workout is designed for women in the 1st Trimester of pregnancy, between 1 and 13 weeks. The program focuses on teaching the fundamental building blocks that will support you throughout pregnancy and post partum recovery. Exercises are created to be calming for the nervous system and to help manage any hormonal related dizziness and nausea.
Most of all, this trimester is all about getting you to connect with your deepest layer of abdominals (transversus abdominis) before this muscle stretches out from the growing baby in the 2nd Trimester and 3rd Trimesters.
This comprehensive 50 minute workout is designed for women in their 2nd Trimester of pregnancy, between 14 and 26 weeks. The 2nd Trimester is when hormone levels have stabilized as the placenta has now been fully built. This means it’s usually a good time to add new dynamic movements to your workout program – you can physically challenge yourself more during this time than any other time during pregnancy.
The program builds on the foundations of the 1st Trimester workout and is designed to strengthen and prevent postural changes as belly grows.
This comprehensive prenatal workout is designed for women in their 3rd Trimester of pregnancy, between 27 – 40 weeks. The exercise program is designed to increase comfort in this final stage of pregnancy, to manage postural changes and to release the pelvic floor in preparation for delivery. In order to minimize the risk of developing “mummy tummy” aka diastasis recti (overstretched abdominal connective tissue), there are no plank or “hands and knees” positions during this later stage of pregnancy when the baby is largest.
Reconnect to your deepest layer of abdominals by learning how to activate your inner corset, stabilize your spine and strengthen from the inside out. This workout is ideal for postpartum women – both caesarean and vaginal deliveries – as well as anyone looking to restore proper core function and re-train their abs to fire correctly. The program has been designed with the guidance of Dr. Sinéad Dufour, PhD, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to help repair diastasis recti (over stretched abdominal tissue, aka. “mummy tummy”) that often happens during pregnancy.
The Belle Method (Pilates Fusion workout)
This challenging 1 hour video is a full body core workout performed to music fusing Pilates, dance conditioning and yoga. We build on Pilates technique and take abdominal work, toning and sculpting to a deeper intensity using concentrated movements and deep muscle recruitment. Your booty will burn! Prepare to strengthen, lengthen and sweat.
