Andre DeCairos, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist, Traditional Thai-Yoga Therapist, and Shiatsu Practitioner

Practicing since 2004, Andre DeCairos is a Registered Massage Therapist, Traditional Thai-Yoga Therapist, and Shiatsu practitioner.

Andre’s exposure to massage therapy began as a patient. As an international soccer player, Andre suffered a serious injury prior to a major tournament. After seeing a variety of practitioners, it was massage therapy that effectively brought him to a speedy recovery and inspired him to study the science further.

In 2010, wanting to expand his practice, Andre flew to Thailand and spent two months studying Thai massage and attending a 10-day meditation retreat with monks. Referred to as "lazy man's yoga" Andre now incorporates Thai massage into all of his treatments with the firm belief that in order to heal, the body must move.

Having worked closely alongside Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists, Naturopaths and Chinese Medicine Doctors, Andre integrates all of his experiences into his work and sees his practice as one strand in the web of natural healthcare – providing alternatives to pharmaceutical-driven healthcare.

As a therapist, Andre maintains a high level of investment in the overall health of all clients, often recommending activities, lifestyle changes or other therapies outside of his own practice to compliment his work. All for the benefit of each client’s unique needs.

With a passion for travel, Andre's future plans are to add to the many different countries he's visited, study other forms of natural health care in their countries of origin and bring them back for all to experience.

Darcie Clark
Certified Yoga Instructor

Darcie has practiced yoga since 1995 and started teaching in 2007. Once she experienced the countless benefits of a regular yoga practice, Darcie was inspired to bring this gift to others. Darcie believes the stress we feel today stems from a lost connection with our selves, whether physically, mentally, or emotionally. A yoga practice strengthens this connection and benefits us on many levels: psychologically, physically, spiritually. We live busy lives rushing from one thing to another with barely a moment to pause. For Darcie, practicing yoga is an opportunity to slow down, be fully present, and develop greater knowledge of our abilities and strengths. Her favorite part of teaching is watching her students develop greater confidence in themselves as their balance, flexibility, and strength improves.

A full time yoga teacher, Darcie teaches a wide range of yoga classes for several workplaces in the GTA, two downtown yoga studios, and Chair Yoga classes in retirement residences. She enjoys bringing yoga to people of all sizes, levels and abilities.

Darcie graduated from Trent University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology and Biology (2000) and received her 200-hour Yoga Teaching Certificate from YogaSpace Toronto (2007). She also has training in Mindfulness Meditation and attended a 5 day meditation retreat with the renowned Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hahn in the summer of 2013.
